uthors Instructions

Important Notes

  1. For their papers to be included in the conference proceedings, authors of papers must register by August 10, 2006, and the conference secretariat MUST receive the payment by the same date.
    IMPORTANT: The papers of the authors who will not show up for the paper presentation at the conference will be considered WITHDRAWN, and hence will not be sent to the IEEE for inclusion in IEEE Explore database.
  2. Those authors registering after August 10, 2006 must add the Late Publication Fee of Rs 200 (or 25$ for overseas authors) to the registration fee. After August 15, 2006, a paper is NOT included in the proceedings, for which the payment for author registration is not received.
  3. Payments can be made in Pak Rupees or U.S. Dollars (for non-residents).
  4. Student rate attendees must have a valid full-time student ID or a letter from their Department Head/Chair that states that the attendee is a full time student.
  5. Refund Policy: Paid registrants (non-authors) who cannot attend, and do not send a substitute, are entitled to a refund of 50% of their fee if a request is received in writing on or before August 25, 2006. Registrants are liable for their full fees after that date (i.e., NO Refund will be made). There will be no refunds to authors of paper.
  6. All authors must send the Copyright Form, download from here.
  7. Please download the typing Instructions/formatting guidelines for the preparation of the Camera-Ready papers.
  8. Regular research papers will be a maximum of six IEEE style pages in Camera-Ready form and will be published in the proceedings. These papers will be presented in the conference Sessions. The Camera-Ready papers must be received by August 15, 2006. Each presentation will be 15 minutes long, including the questions and answers. The information about the time and the date of your presentation will be E-mailed to you as soon as it becomes available in the last week of August. Each paper/presentation will be included in a relevant technical session - authors who will be presenting papers are expected to introduce themselves to the chair of the session about (05) minutes before the session starts.
  9. Authors of accepted papers are requested to complete their conference registration at the earliest but not later then 15 August, 2006.
  10. Authors whose papers are not been accepted will be informed along with reviewer comments in the due course of time.

 Insentives to Author:-

  1. Based on the papers' review, best paper of the conference will be declared. Author of the best paper will be presented a cash prize and a "best paper of the conference" certificate from the IEEE-Islamabad section.
  2. Out of all presented papers, five best ones's will be selected based on the papers' review process. The authors of those papers will be awarded a "best author" certificate from the IEEE-Islamabad section.

  1. The proceedings of ICAST 2006 has been excepted as publication of IEEE Conference Publications Program(CPP).The CPP handles the worldwide post conference sales and distribution of IEEE releated conference publications to individuals (including IEEE members) and institutions (including libraries), via channels such as IEEE Xplore®.
  2. The proceedings of ICAST 2006 will carry the catalog numbers as follow:
